On 8 February 2024, 12 golfers joined Mr Gary Player for a day of Golf and Giving, with the goal of raising much needed funds for Wings & Wishes.
The Wings & Wishes Golf Day hosted by Gary Player is a little different to conventional golf days as it is an exclusive event. Only 12 golfers played with Gary Player at Goose Valley Golf Club in Plettenberg Bay. This superb golf club offers a splendid Gary Player designed 72-par, 18-hole signature golf course in the heart of the Garden Route.
Mr Player played 6 holes with each of the 4 balls, giving helpful tips on their swing and putting skills. It was a wonderful day of golf, thoroughly enjoyed by the golfers and Mr Player alike.
The day ended with an intimate dinner at the luxurious Sky Villa Boutique Hotel where Mr Player shared many stories on his golfing career and answered the guests’ questions. Everyone agreed, this was a once in a lifetime experience that they will treasure for years to come.
