In December 2006 Gaylene was one of the first children transported by Wings and Wishes.
At the time she was only 11 months old and was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma.
As there was no paediatric oncology unit in Port Elizabeth, she travelled to Red Cross Hospital for treatment.
Over the next 14 years, she travelled with us 32 times, with her last trip done in 2020.
This week she had her matric farewell! What a beautiful lady she is today!!
