We would like to introduce you to 4 children from the rural areas of the Eastern Cape, South Africa,
here their families struggle daily to support their children as work in the rural outskirts is few and far
between.

They are all under the age of 5 years and patients at the Division of Ophthalmology, Groote Schuur
Hospital in Cape Town. The unit has been developed over the last two decades into a centre of
excellence for the management and care of children with Retinoblastoma and is currently able to
offer all therapies available aimed at preserving not only life but also the eye and vision.

Once a month, they make the gruelling 1300 km journey from their homes to Cape Town for
treatment. Thus far Wings & Wishes funded 190 trips for families.

We endeavour to continue supporting these children in every way we possibly can. Ensuring that
they honour their appointments in Cape Town and give them a brighter future.

We need your help to cover the travel expenses for the year. Without your assistance the families
will not be able to travel to Cape Town and the children will default on their treatment.
