It’s hard to believe that our three-year vehicle sponsorship journey with Renault is coming to and end. What an incredible blessing it has been—for Wings & Wishes, and most importantly, for the children and families we serve.
Renault’s generous support brought peace of mind to parents of children with disabilities. No longer did they have to navigate public transport, worry about fitting a wheelchair into a taxi, or pay for extra seats. Thanks to the “Wishmobile”—our lovingly named Triber—we were able to collect families from their homes and ensure they arrived at airports and bus stations comfortably, safely, and on time.
The sponsorship was truly life-changing. It played a vital role in helping children from rural areas access life-saving transplants. With pediatric transplant centers located only in Cape Town and Johannesburg, children from the Eastern Cape are often excluded from transplant lists due to logistical challenges. But thanks to Renault, two children received their gift of life—one a liver, the other a kidney.
Beyond the emotional impact, their support also brought significant financial relief. Without a dedicated vehicle, we rely on transfer companies to transport children to and from medical facilities Over the past three years, Renault’s sponsorship saved Wings & Wishes R151,840—just in airport transfers alone.
