In the Eastern Cape there is a long waiting list for cardiac patients to receive lifesaving surgery. In some cases children have been waiting for more than 2 years. Wings & Wishes partnered with the Pelo Foundation to transport children from the Eastern Cape in need of life-saving heart surgery, to Busamed Private Paardevlei Hospital where heart surgery will be done.
Thus far 3 children traveled to Busamed and received life saving surgery. We are looking forward to growing the relationship, ensuring all children receive the life saving medical care they deserve
