Description
Within the Eastern Cape we make use of bus transport to get children from rural areas to medical treatment in bigger centers. Our children spend many hours traveling – a bus trip from Mthata to Cape Town is 20 hours! All our children are from previously disadvantaged communities and they hardly ever have money to buy something to eat on route. We provide each child and the accompanying adult with a snack box.
The snack box is filled with:
- Small juice
- Biscuits
- Chips
- Snack bar/ chocolate
- Sweets
- Savory biscuit
