XPRESSIONS 2010 HANDS OVER R80 000 TO WINGS AND WISHES

Art is alive and well in Nelson Mandela Bay!

Xpressions 2010, an exhibition, held at the Ron Belling Gallery, was used to showcase the work of artists who have their roots in the Bay. It was the vision of Anthony Harris, well know Eastern Cape artist, and Pieter Swart, co curator at Ron Belling Gallery and Director of Marketing and Corporate Relations at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. The show, which was positioned to expose visitors during the Soccer World Cup and National Arts Festival to our art, reflected a variety of artistic disciplines in exceptional work by 38 professional painters, printmakers, sculptors and ceramists.

The full commission of art sold during the exhibition, amounting to a whopping R80 000, was donated to Wings and Wishes.
