Wings and Wishes is committed to assisting families who require transport for their critically ill children to specialist medical care.

Wings and Wishes will pay for the transport costs (airtickets or bus tickets) for the ill child and an accompanying adult to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, or any other appropriate medical facility, for treatment.

All cases must be referred by a medical doctor, and we require the following information to process flight requests:

  1. Letter from the referring doctor, outlining the child’s current condition, and treatment he/she will be receiving
  2. SAA Medical Questionaire to be completed by referring doctor
  3. Wings and Wishes Essential Information Form to be completed by referring doctor, and signed by doctor and parent
  4. Wings and Wishes Waiver and Indemnity Form to be completed by parents
  5. Copies of I.D. of child and accompanying parent.

Requests can be faxed to 086 556 9663, or emailed to wings&wishes@ccsabco.co.za. Requests can only be processed during office hours.

Please allow at least one day’s notice for processing of flights. Emergency requests for same day departure can be accomodated depending on availability of flights.
